Globulation2

Hi, I am trying to play Glob with a mate over the internet.

However we are unable to connect to each others games. When ever someone makes a game and the other tries to connect a message that says we are unable to join a game due to a timeout.

I am running Ubuntu 7.04 and my mate is on windows. We both have the same version of the game (alpha 23)

This is an obvious answer but it's surprising the number of people that don't check this... is his/your firewall blocking the game at all? Another useful piece of information is, are you connecting directly with IP addresses or going through YOG?

I am not sure about the firewall, and I was connecting to his game I could see in the game list within YOG.
