How Does the Music Work

Post by Lexen »

Hello, I would really like to try and make some music for globulation 2, but I don't really know how it works. I see that you use .ogg and on my Ubuntu machine you store the audio files in the "zik" folder (why not the "music" folder?). You have 5 audio files, two that are self-explanatory (intro.ogg and menu.ogg), but then there are three other files: a1.ogg a2.ogg and a3.ogg. I messed with it a little bit and I found that a3.ogg is the battle music and you have it switch after the previous audio file is done, which I think is really smart. My question is when does it switch from a1.ogg to a2.ogg and if someone was to add music to the game, how would that be implemented from the programmers point of view.

Thanks,
Lexen
