Joey Campaign #7 **Spoiler**

I finally figured out how to beat Joey Campaign #7. I thought it was really hard at first, but after you figure it out, it's simple & easy. Here is how:

Set attack targets for the two areas where the two other glob groups are use atleast 5 per target, and finish destroying them before time runs out!

THat's it. I have consistently beat it following that strategy. You don't need to build a single building! :)

Awesome! Since the towers got rebalanced, no one had been able to beat it, although I think we were all using defensive stragegies. Way to think out of the box!

I used to think that way

I thought that way, but then I decided to try it. It took about four time to get it right. If you don't destory the buildings before the time limit runs out, all the enemy's globs "magically appear" even if most of the building are gone. I was excited to finally get past that campaign. It would be nice to have more campaigns.

How to play that Campaign?
I downloaded it from the ftp server, placed the maps into my map folder but the game doesn't show them neither in campaign menu nor in custom game.

I think it's to do with your version of globulation.
The Joey campaigns only work with older versions (I think anyway)

Hi!
I'm playing an older version at the moment (0.8.16?), where the Joey-Campaign works. I like it! I also found the trick for level-7, which I think is a bit cheating.
But for level-6 there doesn't seem to be such a workaround, because there I have no warriors. And I never manage to win! I don't even know what the objective
is! Kill all the enemies? It seems that they get replenished every so often? Is it even possible to win? I got a rather stable fortress, which they dare not attack,
but I cannot get out to get the algae to upgrade my towers to be strong enough to really kill them. As soon as I open my wall they attack and smash my towers
to pieces. They are just too weak. I tried luring them into a trap, so that they would not be able to retreat and thus would really die, but they beat down the walls
and towers too quickly. Was there maybe some change in the game-mechanics which "broke" this level? :-)
Thanks (also for the cool game in general!) & all the best,
rob

Hi rob,

I'm not sure but I guess you talk about the same mission. Please try latest version of glob2 and expect more to come for beta3 ;)

Greetings, Giszmo

Hi Gizmo,
I was refering to the mission where you have to defend that very small stone circle with only 8 workes.
I also played the current version, but I read that the old campaign doesn't work with it. Looking forward to the next version, even though I don't know what it will contain.
All the best,
rob

Ok, now I found the strategy for Joey Campaign #6 :-)

** spoiler **

Because it is not possible to fight off the enemies with defense-towers (too weak, will always be crushed), another way to win is to keep them from attacking in the first place. For this you only need a big enough wall, say 4 or 5 layers. If the entrance to the stone-circle is closed with so many walls the enemies don't come at all, even if there is only one defense-tower inside. They don't seem to know that they would win, if they would just try (no matter how many towers you have, btw). But if you make a small way through the walls, then they quickly rush to smash the walls and towers and you lose.
I think this is somewhat of a fake-win, because you cannot kill the enemy, they will stay, surrounding your camp forever, and it seems impossible to launch an attack on them, because if you open the wall they will overrun you.

All the best,
rob
