to make better maps, what do we need?

-maximum growth areas
-make all wheat 4 brush, so that maps are more balanced
-some way of measuring more easily would be nice
-anything else?

-being able to set flags for specific unit levels (for easier controlling of AINone)
-bug fixes ;)
-possibility to save maps to campaign folder

There are also lots of things I would like to be able to do but I don't think they are important to implement in the near future.

-AI-only/player-only sides
-More wicked scripting language (I do love the current one. <3 Thanks, lovely devs! <3)

new terrains! which may be:
- cliffes,
- deep water,
and other stuffs like
- permament shroud
- no fog :)
- loops in scripting language (better than label and jump)
- importance of objectives (needed to win, not needed to win) if you fail needed to win one, you loose:roll:
- some new brushes (2x2 for example)
- possibility ctrl + drag (with buildings)
- X AND Y POSITION OF CURSOR
- grid
- undo
- script library
nothing else I can come up with now ;)

Basically it is the same as in image editors where you can fill areas of same color with other color. Map makers could for example remove wheat fields by filling them with grass or remove islands by filling them with water (the sand shore could be also removed when using water bucket fill on land) with only one click.

bucket filling tool for terrain = for example you have a lake, and you want to make it dry, so you choose sand, bucket tool and click on the water to fill it with sand
bucket filling tool for resources = you want to clear huge wood, so you select unputting wood and click it
Image
About animation: of course I made it manually, but if the tool would exist it would be much easier.
I'd also like to add idea to shape tools, (as in paint figures, 1 pixel - 32x32) to create nice squares, triangles, circles... and lines

ok got it. thought that was called http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flood_fill

i guess that would be doable. problem is that the coordinate system is not the same for resources and the landscape and some landscape may not be next to some other (gras to water) but else: pretty doable :)
i'll put it in the bugtracker as a wish.
