Add-Ons - Where?

Post by DDR »

Hello all.

Where are the add-ons for globulation 2 stored? A quick search has not enlightened me. How can I get my add-on (not ready yet) there?

Thanks. :)

Depends what type of addon, maps, sounds, or features.

Globulation 2 doesn't support feature addons. You have add your code directly to the Globulation 2 source code.

The other two (sound and maps) are in ~/.glob2/ on linux, or c:\program files\globulation 2\ on windows xp.

Well, that puts a damper on my modding aspirations - I know no source code.
Someone else would have to help me. And I know no one will.

Well, so long and thanks for all the fish.

(I am watching this thread, so replies will get to me.)

What kind of 'modding' have you planned to do? Actually the new scripting to come in beta4 should allow to build tricky campaigns.

I had in mind building a campaign -- nothing fancy for the first one -- about a war or something. I was going to let my 'story of the creation (tm)' wait, I do not think I could do it justice right now. I wonder if I have beta4 now, if not, I'll get it when it comes. Thanks! :D
