Anyone who changes the code should join the mailing list

I'm just saying that I've examined the cvs logs for various files, and theres several people changing our code, but who i've never seen on the development mailing list. Nct has being trying to get in contact with them on the mailing list, apparrently tracking down allot of bugs that they caused.

My way to beat Joey 6 quickly is to run up and building towers near my enemy inns. It generally takes 3 towers to do them all. Once the towers are partially full, I wall myself in. If luck comes to luck, all the enemy Inns are destroyed, the enemy army starves to death quickly.

Ohh, I never noticed the screenshot. Yeah, thats normal behaviour, it happens every once in a while, provided nicowar tries to balance when it places buildings.

Hmm, Nicowar would only do that if it was trying to keep its swarm sufficiently close to other settlement. A savegame would be helpfull!

I think the tournament should folo some simple rules. You should not have to sign up before the tournament begins, especially if we want to use it to "launch" 1.0. You should not have to be playing 24/7 or even 2/4 to win the tournament. We should be able to play 4, 5 or even 6 player game...

The first ever Globulation 2 Tournament!!!!

I think we should host a Globulation 2 tournament at 1.0. Certainly it will require plenty of planning, but by the time 1.0 arrives, we should be ready to start it off with a bang to rapidly increase interest in the game. And as well, hosting a pre 1.0 tournament would encourage net usage and find r...

GrowFast Strategy

Well, heres my strategy that has allowed me to win every netgame i played on. First of all, put 5 workers an every swarm, and maintian that number throughout the match. Get an explorer or two, and place an exploration flag right over your first swarm, set it to maximum radius. This flag will give yo...

Re: problems with globulation2

This function, why do we want a complete destination, why don't we make the globs check the gradient every time as they go, because that is a matter of polling exactly 4 positions to know where to go ... ! Polling 8 directions, actually, globs can move diaganolly. I'm not overly knowledgable on glo...

We just made an improvement to the gradient calculation a couple of weeks ago, saving 30%, andrew thought it was all that could be done. So.. how much did you manage to shave off? (It doens't say in your speed report). Also, on non opengl machines, SDL does take up allot of proccessing time, its bee...

Re: problems with globulation2

But as a final remark, the code is not in too good a shape. There is hardly any documentation or comments, which makes it hard to figure out what certain portions of the code do. And some programming practices are making it also difficult to read just the code: who can read this: Sint32 ticksToWait...
