I don't know if anyone remembers this but Pax Imperia had the best race creation out of any game I've ever played. It used a point system but had alot of unique abilities that made the game fun (anaerobic was really useful). Personally I don't see how much tweaking you could do with glob2 races with...

I've played through the tutorial on xp through a command prompt, doesn't load from my shortcuts at all. I want more before I jump into map editing, see how the logic plays out. I can't find campaigns anywhere in the downloaded glob2-0.8.21_win32/campaigns package. Are there any available and where ...

Re: Globulation2 on SuSE?
This looks like a great game and I want to try it out! :D The only problem is that I have SuSE 10.0, and when I looked at the downloads page, I didn't see an option for SuSE. :( Can I play this game with SuSE? And if it is possible, can somebody give me instructions about how to download and instal...

Yeah, I don't have openGL configured, or my card set up or whatever. Oooops! Dash it! SDL games are fine though. So if I can revert it back to SDL it would be great. Where can I find this preferences.txt file? assuming your running a *nix system it is ~/.glob2/preferences.txt If your running window...

That version is REALLY out of date. It'll give you an idea of what glob2 is like but there have been many enhancements since then. Taking a look at that page there is a link to darwinports and if I'm reading it right I think you can use that to compile the most recent code for mac but since I haven'...

I agree that a global storage is easier to implement, but I like the idea of having non-global warehouses. Someone suggested that warehouses could build a special transport unit to get resources from one place to another. That would add more logistics to the game. We'll be able to stop an enemy att...

Actually this has been done. In the latest CVS version explorers can damage buildings but their attack bypasses all armor so they are more effective at killing workers/warriors (when they learn the ground attack). Towers will slow up and damage warriors but will ultimately fall to them. Towers can k...

Don't forget that towers have to be resupplied with stone to continuously attack, while a warrior can keep fighting until his hunger level gets too high. What if instead of decreasing health you decreased the maximum ammo, meaning that the tower's supplies get depleted more rapidly? A tower that ca...
