Actually as of the latest CVS version the flags have been changed so users can modify the default settings within the settings menu itself.

I like Donkyhotay's idea of explorer ground attack only hitting units, but I was going to suggest that it take a level two or higher tower to hit air units, because letting level one towers stop hit level three explorers seems rather unbalanced to me. So explorers only hit air units until level 3 a...

can't you force it?
I've never used suse before so I really don't know anything about it but it might help if I knew how you were installing it. Are you using a RPM, a DEB package or compiling from source. If your using an RPM or DEB you can usually specify force architecture to get around that.

Another idea would be to prohibit explorers from attacking buildings. If they can only hit units then they would be VERY useful to have around and could devastate the opposing army but you couldn't use them to keep the enemy from teching up themselves. Ultimately you would need an army of warriors t...

how I found glob2
I found glob2 on happypenguin.org doing a search for RTS games. I had just made the transition from XP to FC4 and had been frustrated that starcraft wouldn't wine very well. At that time the game was at version .18 and while I thought it was pretty cool I found a bug I was a big letdown as it preven...

Re: Building / flag shortcuts
Hi. I miss one feature in gameplay - building shortcuts. Like in StarCraft or WarCraft strategies you were able to command units and build buildings with keyboard shortcuts - it saved a lot of time and mouse movement. And of course - I play on a larger screen resolution and those icons are small an...

Re: i hope this change is only temporary
as mentioned before i strongly suggest to implement a solution without some advanced settings thing as this makes it more complicated than needed. i believe it comes more natural if settings are stored as default every time i change them for an item. so if i change the proportions of units produced...

war flag setting file
Ok I'm back, once I had a chance to actually look at the code to customize the warflag settings I found that this has already been set up within the buildings.txt file within the data directory. Simply modify the maxUnitWorking line under *warflag to whatever you want (I set it for 10). This can be ...

fixed in CVS
I did get the fix implemented a while back so it made it in time for version .19 so if it's still not working then obviously something else is going on.

Re: Cannot start a LAN game.
Hi, This is a quite interesting "feature" that I'v found. I host a LAN game on my Linux desktop (Fedora Core 4) wich is behind a D-Link router on a DSL line. This is Globulation2 0.48.22.5 (alpha 19 I think) from RPM. A friend of mine connects from his Windows XP client (this is Gl...
