Re: hi

as i said: we have many new players. 1 per day on average. each of them is enthusiastic about glob2 and many offer to help here and there. so with about 5 being active now that is 5days per new user on average? great. now if we generate 10 joining per day we end up with 50 actives on average as long...

Re: hi

That's hard question. It's hard to advertise for free If money is the problem, let me know. We definitely should have money if there is a good concept to use it on. For example I'm no fan of google but if you dig into their adwords system and prepare a campaign, it will get payed up to say 2oo$ as ...

Re: How can I help? Ask a question for yourselves.

hi zenfur thanks for your offers 2d-graphics are not needed to much right now. the next major rework of graphics will be 3d i hope ;) testing is always welcome. that is if you are running into trouble, don't simply go restart the map but take the effort to post to the bugtracker. make sure you are u...

Re: What papyrus is for?

yes, but as i said: as having to change almost all maps for a change that does not change the quality of gameplay is rather unlikely to happen, this change will not be there in a new version. try it on your own and suggest it after you have toyed around with it. it's easy to do.

Re: Some new suggestions, wheat problem

you know farming? http://www.leowandersleb.de/static/Glob ... sHowTo.ogg explains some concepts.

i would oppose a mandatory extra building/new constraints for feeding units. for me an option would be some bonus from a mill. for example, bread can be eaten in 1/4 the time of wheat.

Re: What papyrus is for?

sorry but your idea is ... rather thin. also glob2 not really lacks of ideas. using it straight away would be one line of modification that even you could do: changing this file will break online play unless your opponents all have a changed version, too!!! see http://hg.globulation2.org/glob2-new/f...

Re: Bug? Strange glob behaviour

things at that level happen quick in glob2. normally a glob can't change its mind for nothing. he only drops from the workers list if the resource is already delivered sufficiently, he turns hungry or he got hurt to a certain level. in any case the glob should not bring the missing stone to a differ...

Re: Torrents

i had a torrent tracker set up already but got stuck with automating the torrent generation and seeding for our downloads. without 1 permanent seed i don't want to put that into the downloads section. you may do so if you wish. just register with the wiki and add.

Re: Floating priorities

there have been many mechanisms proposed so far and i'd like to get rid of one of the two controls "priority" and "worker count" better yesterday than today. guess concept is not the problem neither. problem is the one to implement one of those. my favorite is to turn worker coun...

Re: Can't Install

the
the Mingw install guide
is not for
kind of stupid when it comes to computers
It is rather for "I know how everything works and want to contribute/try the very latest development version for debugging.".
Try the precompiled binaries for your os (Windows) from the download section.
