Hmm, Nicowar would only do that if it was trying to keep its swarm sufficiently close to other settlement. A savegame would be helpfull! Uhh, sorry; it didn't occur to me to do that, I had enough trouble taking the screenshot! :P (It was my first screenshot on Linux, I had to actually install Image...

Nope, no fruits - in fact, AIWarrush actively FORBIDS its workers from taking fruit! Fruit wouldn't be powerful enough to do that anyway - you can only convert as many units as you have inns, and there isn't enough room to build that many inns without defeating some enemies in the first place. Warru...

AIWarrush is back!

And it just beat 7 'Castors on the Playground! Here's the Units chart in the aftermath.

Simple changes that might deepen strategy

(if anyone doesn't hate the fruit system, or to a lesser extent ground-attacking explorers, debate that in another thread. This thread is for ideas.) Strategic depth, as I am sure you all agree, is valuable in an RTS game like glob2. However, I have found that two game rules in particular act to fla...

Those darn fruits again...

A depressing testament to the power of fruits, and/or the weakness of the AI. These two NicoWars were totally owned. They had no chance to survive. I'd kind of hoped that given my long absence, someone would have done something about this in the meantime... :P Expect me to post something soon on the...

Nicowar - stupid behavior?

Nice new AI (since I last played - no, I did not finally get it working on Mac! I installed Gentoo Linux. :P) Seems pretty smart - the one thing I don't like is that it uses the IMO highly abusive strategy of converting enemy units using fruit. :| However, watching it play, I saw something odd. It b...

I should definitely get back to this project, along with about two dozen other things I should definitely do.

No you're not, you're OMFG_SPAMZ0R. I already destroyed a post by a certain person called Razgilday today, and I await only an Admin to delete his account. If you still don't think you're a spammer, just look at your location on the left.

P.S.: Quoting doesn't work?

I don't think so. I used to help dev Glob2 from my Mac, but it was not easy to get it to run, and nowadays, I can't get the old versions I had running to start up either.

Yes. And Gate 88 forums, and World to Conquer forums. And maybe some other forums I don't remember.

It's not the game speed - it's just that all the globs in that scenario are high level and super-fast.

In that case, you had better write your formula in a human-readable way!

I do think that level 1 (or 2 at most) towers should attack air. And be rather weak on the ground.

So a late-game assault would go like this: the attacker's warriors go pound up the defending towers, then as the enemy warriors come out to meet them, explorers move in.
