Re: Traduction Française

Congratulatios, ProgVal. You fell for a spammer. The comment was pulled from somewhere else on this forum. First time I see this today and it's really nasty nasty nasty as you can automate to find the comment that works best on certain topics. I will not delete his post and leave it to you. I actual...

Re: Windows error.

Ok, late reply. I wonder what this could be, given glob2 does not depend on anything but the config and the config should not get corrupted from pulling the plug or repaired from re-installing the game for that matter. At least not if the config is preserved as it would be on debian if you "rem...

Globulation still alive :)

So in half a year I haven't been on the forum and now I'm actually surprised there is no spam. Not many real posts neither but no spam is a good thing. My server that used to serve glob2 stuff was down for a day and now I saw it was still running the yog server and the forum and stuff but I guess I ...

Re: [old] The Forum registration will be locked from now on

Frustrating regarding that in months only two real persons have a meta talk apart from the spammers.

Re: [old] The Forum registration will be locked from now on

:) So recently I did not delete anything. At least since this last post of yours. Are we good now?

Edit: Ok, in more than one week only one spammer? I just deleted one that posted today, so maybe it's bot-save now?

Re: [old] The Forum registration will be locked from now on

I edited the thread name to look less frightening.

Ok, so what was that table good for if it only slowed down stuff?

Re: The Forum registration will be locked from now on

Just noticed it... :( I just enabled IP-checking against an anti-spam service. I don't like to depend on a third-party service, but it looks like it is the only way... We'll see if it works. well, as long as the forum is dead as now, every manual effort to remove spam feels like a waste of time. Be...

Re: The Forum registration will be locked from now on

EDIT : Looking at the logs, I just noticed some admins delete topics and then users. I think the best way is to click the user name, then "Administrate", then select "Delete posts" in the "Delete user" area, and submit. Not sure if I'm the only one fighting this futile...

Re: The Forum registration will be locked from now on

The worst spam issues are not really over. I just deleted 50 very recent - after the move to progval's server - spam posts and there seams to be no activity other than spam.

Re: Small things I believe would help a lot

- In the hosting/joining section when you arrange teams, I think the "other options" is unnecessary and those options should just be visible right away, there is a lot of space available next to the list of players, also team arranging is core and not just an "other" option. the...

Re: Still in development?

as for the wiki-theming: i now learned how to do skinning the mediawiki-way. all you need is access to special pages like http://globulation2.org/wiki/MediaWiki:Roundedblue2.css . As you can see here http://globulation2.org/wiki/index.php?title=Main_Page&useskin=roundedblue2 this can get pretty ...

Re: Still in development?

Hi Munkbusiness, well ... this is always the same hen-egg-problem. if people code, others join. if nobody codes, nobody joins. so if you can contribute, we (the devs that have coded before you and the players that love the game) invite you to show others that glob2 isn't dead. but now for some motiv...
