Re: Perhaps make warriors able to clear?

I disagree because this is meant to be strategy game. It would make it allot easier if the warrior's could clear. Greeting's GameDealer Hello GameDealer, thanks for checking out my idea- Agreed that it would make it easier, but I think easier in that it would be more convenient - but I don't see ho...

Custom map name clean up

Glob2 is one of the more professional games I've played so far in GNU/Linux. One tiny thing that I think could further this polished image is a little cleanup in the default custom maps' names. An early, simple-to-implement change would be to simply make the names more consistent: Titles Typed Like ...

Perhaps make warriors able to clear?

I haven't played a multiplayer, so maybe there are strategy balances I'm not taking into consideration. I wonder if anyone else thinks it would be nice if warriors were capable of clearing areas painted with the yellow clear area tool. Not the clearing flag - that would make it harder to maintain co...

Building option: Directly construct/upgrade to level 2 or 3

One of Globs strongest points is the no-micromanagement theme. One thing I think would fit nicely into this theme, would be the ability to build a building straight to level two or three. What I mean, is having the option when you construct a building, if you have the appropriate schooling level, yo...

Donkyhotay got me running over at the Ubuntu forums, specifically I had to make sure the old version was installed from the repos and delete /usr/local/bin/glob2. Then I later tried installing from source again it was working for me, but now I've reinstalled Ubuntu and am running the one from the re...

It's funny but english is my primary language and I have never noticed that. He's actually right though, a prune *is* a 'raisened' plum and so don't grow on trees. I went ahead and mentioned that on the bug tracker. Yeah - interesting though - recently came across some Chinese candy, artificial &qu...

Hmm.. it still says version 9.1. I've tried reinstalling, and complete removal then installing again. I've also deleted .glob. Any ideas?

SOLVED: How do I uninstall if I installed from source?

I don't know if I compiled wrong, but the latest version isn't working for me, it is crashing a lot.

I want to put the old version back on from the Ubuntu repos, but I don't know how to uninstall the new version I have.

actually scons doesn't install dependencies automatically. If a dependency is missing it will stop and notify you of it during the configuration stage. Installing build-essential from the ubuntu repo's just installs the most common dependencies and compilers used. IMO I think it should be automatic...

Is there an equivalent of the "build-essential" package for gentoo? Maybe if you use that. This is the problem I was having, too. This was my first time compiling. I am using Ubuntu Feisty Fawn. It also was telling me that it couldn't find that library. I had added it from synaptic, but wh...

SOLVED How long might it take for a Deb Package

I really like this game. I'm new to Linux (using Ubuntu Feisty Fawn), and from what I hear, tarball/source code seems like it is pretty hard to install for a newbie. A lot of potential to screw things up, and extra files to put in other directories, etc. I'm not familiar with the process that Linux ...

Why I love this game

This game was a treasure to find in the Ubuntu repositories. I had been looking for games as a new Linux user, and while a lot of the smaller games (board games, puzzles, etc.) are very well crafted, they aren't the kind of games I like to play for a long time. I wanted something deeper. Many of the...
